Cal Poly faculty are able to pursue various educational activities that involve teaching, doing research, or being resident director on an international program. Faculty can:

• teach on a faculty-led program coordinated by International Education and Programs (IEP) in Australia, London, Peru,Spain or Thailand
• coordinate department exchange agreements with an overseas university
• lead an extended field trip with students within your department
• support students' research and travel abroad through Independent Study through Cal Poly
• serve as a resident director in one of the CSU International Programs sites
• be a USAC visiting professor teaching most often during the summer or while on sabbatical
• conduct research or teach with the Fulbright Program

Travel abroad may also include activities such as attending or presenting at conferences, participating in tours, and conducting research funded all or in part by the University or the Corporation.
